Twice a year, the Embassy Suites Charlotte, turns into THE men's clothing destination for buyers and suppliers. For years, Men's Apparel Club of the Carolinas has been using Embassy Suites' spacious guest suites and meeting space semi-annually to host their Southern Clothing Market. This market brings in buyers from all over the region to see the men's clothing lines that will be debuting in the upcoming season.
The 274 two-room suites coupled with 13,000 square feet of meeting space and an open air atrium have proven to be an ideal combination for the Southern Clothing Market and would be for other tradeshows. Each vendor is assigned a suite to transform into their storefront for the duration of the event. And since the two room suites have separate living & sleeping areas, the vendors can sell & sleep in the same space. The dining table also allows the vendors to set up a desk area so they can sit down with buyers to talk details.
Meeting space is used for vendors with larger displays and setups and is easy to divide into several defined areas. The boardroom is available to be used for registration while the two ballrooms can be split into several configurations depending on each vendor's individual needs from year to year.
The open air atrium becomes the hub during lunch time and cocktail hour. For lunch time, the in-house team caters individual meals for each attendee and the tables & chairs in the atrium allow for informal meetings over lunch, catching up on emails, or meeting new business contacts. During cocktail hour, the E'terie Bar provides libations and butler passed hors d'ourves satisfy appetites until dinner plans are confirmed.
